- It is assumed that customers have read, understood and agreed to the listed conditions of hire, signature thereof will be deemed as acceptance.
- You must be 18 years or over to make a booking.
- All gowns remain the property of Upstyle hire
- Only Mastercard or Visa Credit Card are accepted as deposits.
- The named hirer has the sole responsibility for the gown until it is returned to Upstyle Hire.
- No refunds will be issued once a gown has been booked, this includes cancellation of the function, for whatever reason.
- Any changes to a booking will be subject to a $20 administration fee.
- Gowns cannot be changed once they left the shop premises.
- If a gown has been booked and subsequently damaged by a third party before your hire date, we will offer a comparable replacement.
- Customers should check their gowns thoroughly and advise the shop of any damage, marks or items missing before their function. A messege can be left on the answer phone. Any damage not reported by 6pm on the day of collection will be charged to the hirer.
- Gowns must be returned on the day specified on the hire agreement, and returned within normal shop opening times. Failure to do so will result in a $10 per day surcharge.
- Customers must not wash gowns or tumble dry any wet item.
- Customers must not attach sticky labels or badges to any part of the gown.
- Customers must not pin, sew, glue or iron any gown that is hired.
- Part or all of the deposit will be forfeited or the cost of replacement charged if:
- The gown is returned beyond reasonable repair.
- The gown is returned needing specialized cleaning.
- The gown is returned with permanent damage ie, cigarette burns
- The gown is returned with one or more items missing.
- Any modifications have been carried out on the gown.
- The gown is returned with blood (or any other body fluids).
- The gown is not returned to Upstyle Hire for whatever reason.
- Deposits or the cost of replacement will be deducted from the customers credit/debit card (if applicable) if the gown is returned, as per condition 12,13,14,15,16.
- Gowns must be returned to Upstyle Hire using a “proof of delivery” service ie, the package must be signed for.
- Goods lost in transit back to Upstyle Hire are the Hirers responsibility.
- Upstyle Hire cannot be held responsible for any gown that does not fit.
